Your clothing is a bit like a long lasting good friendship: if you want your relationship to be good over time, it's best to take special care of it.
Did you know that? Premature wear of clothing is mainly caused by repeated, high temperature and often unnecessary cleaning.
Everything starts avec the raw material Tencel Lyocell Refibra TM, made by Lenzing, our supplier of Tencel Lyocell in Austria :
This is THE ultimate ecological and sustainable material! Lenzing has developed a revolutionary technology based on the manufacture, in closed circuit, of a "virtuous" yarn. It is made of wood pulp extracted from sustainable certified forests, and of cotton waste, which comes from the production of clothing.
Sustainable - Strenght
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are versatile and distinguished by their high tenacity profile among cellulose fibers. Reduction of CO2 emissions The production and cellulose and fiber respect the principle of sustainability and it is in 100% nature.
Derived from nature, all TENCEL™ standard Lyocell fiber types have been certified as biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, thus they can fully revert back to nature.
Tencel TM Lyocell fibers are naturally smooth to the touch and enhance the quality of fabrics to glide lightly over your skin.
Unfavorable For Bacterial Growth
Through moisture management, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers absorb moisture efficiently, as measured by the Vapor Uptake test and Water Retention Value. In comparison to polyester and synthetics, there is less available moisture formed on the surface of the fiber for bacteria to grow. Consequently, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers provide a less favorable environment for bacterial growth, offering better hygienic qualities.
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers support body temperature regulating properties through their moisture management. Derived from natural material, the microscopic fibrils of cellulosic fibers are structured to regulate the absorption and release of moisture, contributing to fabric breathability that supports the body’s natural thermal regulation.
