Green is the new Black
WHY AT AATISE WE DON’T DO BLACK FRIDAY?
The last week of November means Black Friday.
What is Black Friday?
The last Friday of November, popularised by Amazon, has become a tradition in the United States, just like Thanksgiving. On this day, most retailers put on their biggest sales promotions of the year.
This black day for the planet explodes all anti-ecological and anti-social barometers in less than 24 hours.
In a few figures, Black Friday is :
- 58 billion spent in the US, the GDP of Lebanon.
- 1 million deliveries in the Paris region alone.
- Over 80,000 transport trucks in the UK.
This over-consumption only reinforces addiction, waste, over-production, pollution and makes us forget all about our purchasing conscience. As a reminder, 4 million tons of textiles are thrown away in Europe every year.
WHY BUY MORE WHEN YOU CAN BUY BETTER?
You are beginning to know us: this type of "institution" is not part of our values or our consumption patterns.
That's why we at Aatise want to combine our efforts for Green Friday.
It is an ethical alternative in collaboration with the Envie network to react against this destructive logic.
Since the beginning, we have defended a reasoned, sustainable, responsible and useful way of consumption, as well as products with fair prices all year round.
On this Friday, Aatise is committed to donating 10% of its revenue to the Éthique Sur l'Étiquette collective, which works for the respect of human rights at work throughout the world and the recognition of consumers' right to information on the social quality of their purchases.
Let's raise our voices together!
Do your part too: buy sensibly for the planet!
