We don't sell the Planet
In this Summer 2021 sale period, you might be hoping to find that perfect floral dress on sale, or that French linen t-shirt you've been dreaming of at a bargain price.
At Aatise, we only produce what is necessary and we do not normally carry out balances.
However, during the Covid crisis, the closure of our partner shops disrupted sales./p>
Events such as pop-ups or markets have not taken place. So we present you our SOFT PRICES on selected items IN STOCK, with delivery within three working days.
SAY NO TO OVERSELLING
Every year, what is presented to us with "unbeatable prices" as the perfect opportunity to get a good deal is a testament to the excesses of extra-consumerism, which is polluting and meaningless. We've all seen the surreal scenes of consumers thirsting for "bargains" who throw themselves at 50% off shoes once the gates are open. As if it were a rare commodity, and a unique opportunity! And yet... The fashion industry has never produced as much as in recent years. According to the French Agency for the Environment and Energy Management (Adem), the production of clothing doubled between 2000 and 2014, offering pieces with programmed obsolescence, which, if they don't end up in the bin, are left in the wardrobes. So, to get rid of stocks and renew their collections, the disposable fashion brands - that is, Fast Fashion - count on our irrepressible buying frenzy to empty the surplus, all at supposedly "advantageous" prices. >
BUT BENEFICIAL TO WHOM?
The impact of this over-consumption on the environment is enormous: squandering of resources and energy, pollution of rivers and soils, particularly through the excessive use of pesticides, emission of greenhouse gases, production of synthetic materials that cannot be recycled (and are more polluting than natural materials), not to mention the degrading working conditions, which are akin to modern slavery...
In just a few years, the textile industry has become the second most polluting industry in the world after the oil industry. This gives us food for thought... We are overexploiting our planet, asking it for more than it can provide, to manufacture clothes that are presented as indispensable but which we don't need and which we won't use more than 5 times.
OUR PRICES ARE FAIR, ALL YEAR ROUND
Usually we sell our prototypes on our events like the Vide Dressing at Darwin, in Bordeaux. Due to the Covid crisis we couldn't do these events, so we propose this Vide-dressing during the summer sales. Take advantage of it, the stock is very limited.
At Aatise, we don't produce what we don't need, nor do we inflate our prices the rest of the year to make money, just as we don't make our clothes on the other side of the world and don't use synthetic fibres unless they are recycled.
Here, we value the history of your garment, to give it back its letters of nobility. We make it at your request and with you, to be sure that you will wear it and love it for a long time. We value short circuits, local manufacturing and sourcing of materials as close to us as possible, by not leaving Europe.
We propose fashion that makes sense, respectful of those who make it and of the environment. Because we believe that the most sustainable clothing is the one that is not made unnecessarily.
