Eco-responsible manufacturing methods and choice of materials
It all starts with the raw material viscose, which is produced by our supplier Lenzing. It is THE ecological and sustainable material par excellence!
Sustainable raw material productionProduced from wood pulp that comes from sustainably managed forests and are under FSC or PEFC control. Certified with the EU 'Ecolabel', a label of environmental excellence for products that meet high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and waste treatment. | Waste reductionOur system of pre-ordering reduces our stock and overproduction, thus hardly any waste is generated during the whole production process. | Environmentally responsible certified productionThe EcoVero produces 50% less emissions and 50% less water consumption compared to conventional viscose. According to the Higg MSI TM tools, CO2, emissions and fossil resources are reduced by about half compared to conventional viscose. |
BiodegradabilityThe EcoVero viscose is biodegradable and the cotton seams leave no "microplastic" in nature. We do not use iron-on tape made of synthetic fibre (polyester) to reinforce collars, cuffs, etc. | Transparent supply chainThe fibers are identified and certified by Lenzing in the end product via a "Branding Service". | CO2 friendlyLocal supply chain with a reduced carbon footprint. |
